Store Policy

We want to ensure you have the best experience with both the animals and the service you receive from Ophidian Odyssey. Our policies are in place to protect all parties involved, providing you with a positive experience and ensuring the safety of the animals. Please let us know if you have any questions. Animal Attributes

We guarantee the sex, genetics, health, feeding status, and weight of our animals. All ads depict the animals listed and ads are updated often.

Payment Methods

We accept electronic payments via Google Pay or Square, which accepts all major credit cards. Other payment methods include PayPal, cash, or money order. Contact us to make payment arrangements or you may place an order through our Square Store.

Holds

We require a nonrefundable 25% deposit to hold an animal for two weeks. We may waive the deposit requirement at our discretion. We will only take deposits on available animals. Payment plans are available for purchases $400 or greater. Contact us to establish a payment plan. A nonrefundable 25% deposit is required to hold an animal for eight weeks. Shipping, delivery, or pickup arrangements will not be made until the full amount including shipping or delivery costs are paid.

Refunds & Returns

All sales are final. No returns outside the guarantees listed in our Store Policy. Refunds will only be issued under the following circumstances:

  • If we cannot provide you with the animal you've ordered, we will issue a full refund.

  • If we fail to ship your order for more than seven days after it was paid in full and did not communicate the delay, we will issue a full refund.

  • If you make a purchase in error or decide you no longer want the animal, and notify us within 24 hours, provided the animal has not yet shipped, we will issue a refund less processing and any other incurred fees.

We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone we do not think will provide proper care or we believe to be buying for resale.

Shipping

We guarantee all animals will arrive alive, safe, and healthy. We package animals safely with a heat or cold pack as necessary and according to all rules and regulations. Animals are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight through an approved reptile shipping company Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Shipping is weather dependent and may vary on holidays and due to other special circumstances. We will only ship when temperatures are above 40°F (4.5°C) and below 90°F (32°C) both here and at the destination. We will hold any animal purchased outside the temperature guidelines until it is safe to ship.

Delivery to a FedEx Ship Center is required unless a staffed FedEx facility is not within 75 miles of your home. We will not ship to a P.O. Box. For ship center delivery you must pick up animals within three hours of them becoming available for pickup. For home delivery you must be present and available at the first delivery attempt. We are not responsible for delays caused by an incorrect address.

Shipping Rates

Shipping in the continental United States is a flat rate of $75 for Priority Overnight shipping. Shipping is free on any purchase of $800 or greater. Please contact us regarding shipment to Alaska. Shipment to other U.S. territories requires additional fees. We do not currently ship internationally.

Local Pickup & Delivery

Local pickup available by appointment only in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. We will deliver within a 75 mile radius for a fee up to $30, in addition to any excessive tolls. Please contact us to inquire about the delivery fee or to make arrangements. State and local sales taxes are required for local pickup or delivery.
